Ferndale Lodge has been in operation for more than 14 years. We have in excess of 10 rooms (all en-suite) with own entrances. We have been awarded 3 Stars by The Tourism Grading Council of SA, 3 Crystals on the SABS Grading system, we are an Associate of the AA Quality Assurance Program, a member of National Accommodation Association (NAA) and a member of the Guest House Association of SA (GHASA). The ROOMS have the following facilities:-

They all have fridges, microwaves, extra crockery and cutlery, TV (with Mnet, SABC and ETV), Tea/Coffee and ensuite facilites. Rooms have their own entrances from a patio. The double/twin/family rooms are either brick or characterful wooden, one room chalets and have single and/or bunk beds as well as a double. They all have en-suite facilities. Well behaved children are very welcome. There are beautiful gardens with a pool. There are smoke detectors in the rooms and we encourage smokers to use their patio.

Wireless and plug-in ADSL INTERNET Connectivity is available at a reasonable cost to guests with compatible laptops. Guests also experience good 3G reception here.

Breakfast is an "English style" self service pre-cooked buffet with a wide range of juice, fruit, cereals, tea, filter coffee and hot food. Should this breakfast option not suit we suggest you book without breakfast. The reduction per day would be R20 per person on the quoted prices.

We don't supply any other meals or liquor, except breakfast; but there are restaurants, take aways, Pick and Pay, Clicks, Mr Price and Home all within walking distance. Woolworths, KFC, Scooters, McDonalds, Nandos (Haalal certified), Wimpy, Steers, Spur and Dros are a short drive. Plus a Mr Delivery service to the front gate. This combined with the fridges and microwaves in the rooms plus Braais (BBQ's) in the gardens should be sufficient to sort out your food requirements.

There is plenty of "off-street and out-of-sight" parking. We DO NOT allow animals.

We are close to all the main business and entertainment hubs - Sandton - Hyde Park - Randburg - Cresta - Monte Casino - The Dome - Rhema Church & Christ's Embassy Healing Church, Johannesburg Zoo, Brightwater Commons, (Old Randburg Waterfront) and Randpark Golf Club.

A little further (30 minutes) are Gold Reef City, the Lion Park, Krugersdorp Game Park, Hartebeespoort/Magaliesberg "Crockodile Ramble" and Sterkfontein Caves/Maropeng/Cradle of Humankind attractions. Sun City/Pilanesberg Game Park are 90 minutes drive.
